Crafting a Horror Intro from Childhood to the Uncanny
In developing an intro for a planned series of horror shorts, I drew inspiration from The Twilight Zone, MeatCanyon, Jordan Peele, and Junji Ito—blending surreal dread with eerie storytelling. The centerpiece of the animation was a character based on a childhood photo of myself, which I first reimagined as a cartoon drawing and then transformed into a 3D model. I brought the character to life through animation in 3D software, then refined the piece with compositing to give it an unsettling, cinematic polish. The process became both personal and experimental, merging my influences with my own image to create an intro that feels hauntingly familiar yet deeply uncanny.
