Restoring Beauty: The Transformation of Park Row Avenue
For this project with the city of Dallas, I was asked to document and showcase the effort to revitalize Park Row Avenue and bring beauty to blighted communities. I conducted interviews with subject experts in the middle of the avenue, carefully positioning them with their backs toward V-shaped trees. This deliberate framing used the natural shape of the trees to create a focal point, guiding the viewer’s eye towards the interviewees. To achieve balanced lighting, I utilized the natural sunlight while allowing the trees to diffuse the light softly, enhancing exposure for both the subjects and the background. The filming was done with the Sony FX9 camera for high-quality visuals, paired with a Sennheiser Lavalier Microphone to capture clear and professional audio.
