Mind: A Cinematic Experiment in Power and Discovery
This short film marks another milestone in my creative journey, bringing together the skills I’ve developed in cinematography, visual effects, editing, and directing into one cohesive project. The story follows a girl who unexpectedly discovers she has telekinetic powers after watching a TikTok video, blending a modern social media moment with a touch of supernatural mystery. Through careful shot composition, visual effects, and pacing, I aimed to create a short but engaging narrative that showcases both storytelling and technical craft.
A major part of bringing this concept to life was the collaboration with my talented actress, Adira Burton, whose performance helped ground the film and make the discovery of her character’s powers feel believable and exciting. Projects like this continue to push me to refine my workflow and creative voice, combining practical filmmaking with digital effects to build stories that feel both cinematic and contemporary.
