Refining My 3D Scanning Process at Freedman’s Cemetery
At the Freedman’s Cemetery in Dallas, Texas, I used my mirrorless camera to capture detailed photos of the statues for 3D scanning. To ensure even lighting and minimize harsh shadows, I shot on well-lit cloudy days, allowing the software to process the images more effectively. However, one mistake I made was not using a higher f-stop, which led to some bokeh blur that affected the clarity of the scans. Despite this, I successfully created high-quality 3D models and gained valuable insight into improving my technique for even better results in future scans.
