Experimenting with Perspective: Home Cinematography Studie
These two personal video studies were created to explore the creative possibilities of the 7Artisans 10mm APS-C lens on my Sony A6400. The first short was filmed inside my apartment, while the second took me to White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas, where I experimented with a homemade Snorricam setup using a tripod and belt to lock the camera to my body for dynamic, immersive shots. These projects were less about creating a polished final product and more about developing my understanding of ultra-wide-angle cinematography, camera movement, and visual storytelling. By testing different environments, compositions, and practical camera rigs, I gained valuable experience with perspective distortion, subject framing, and movement—lessons that continue to influence my commercial and narrative filmmaking projects.
