Neon Revival: Rebuilding Deep Ellum’s Glow in 3D
Using Blender, I meticulously reconstructed the iconic Deep Ellum neon street sign in Dallas, Texas, relying on multiple reference photos I captured from different angles. Without exact measurements, I carefully eyed the details to model the sign as accurately as possible, preserving its vintage charm. To enhance the realism, I built a simple scene replicating its original surroundings, setting the stage for a dynamic animation. By simulating a timelapse, I animated the sun moving across the sky, showcasing how the sign interacts with natural light throughout the day. This process brought the neon landmark back to life in a fully immersive 3D environment.
