Living the Render: Dropping Into a Different World
I recently practiced placing myself into a fully animated 3D environment using Blender and Adobe After Effects, combining live-action footage with digital world-building to create a seamless composite. I filmed myself on a green screen, then built and animated a 3D scene in Blender where the world dynamically grew around me—buildings rose, landscapes formed, and elements unfolded in sync with my presence. After rendering the scene, I used After Effects to composite myself into the environment, matching lighting, shadows, and color to make the integration feel natural. This project was a creative exploration of how I can place real people into custom-built realities, opening the door for immersive storytelling and visual experimentation.
